DOUBLE THE RANGE AND EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR NISSAN LEAF

Don’t give up on your 2013 or newer Nissan Leaf. Rejuvenate the battery with an EV Works’ Leaf RePack instead.

REASONS TO MAKE THE SWITCH

The Leaf RePack integrates seamlessly with your current instruments.

REPACK

Replace your original, degraded 24 or 30 kWh battery pack with a lightly-used, higher-capacity pack that will boost your range to over 150 miles. That’s double the original range. The RePack is compatible with 2013 and later Leafs and uses OEM 40 kWh battery packs (providing a 67% increase in capacity) compared to the original 24 kWh stock battery pack.

INCREASED CAPACITY + INSTRUMENT COMPATIBILITY

The replacement 40 kWh battery pack has the same shape as the original pack and bolts directly into place.  We use a proprietary gateway that allows the new battery management system to communicate with the computer in your existing Leaf. The result is an updated, full-range display on your existing dashboard instruments with no additional modification required. The 62 kWh option will result in a weight increase of about 230 lb and 1 ¾” of reduced ground clearance in the first-generation Leaf.  Please contact us for more details on the 62 kWh option.

EXTENDED RANGE

The only change you’ll notice is how much farther you can go between charges. When you do need to charge, you’ll still be able to use your Leaf’s DC fast charging system—but at a higher rate of uptake, meaning more miles recovered in a typical 30-minute session.

PANDEMIC COST UPDATE

Since we source our batteries from collision-salvage vehicles, there are fewer packs available due to fewer collisions during the pandemic. Accordingly, the price we have to pay for these batteries has increased. Please budget $11,000 to $12,000 for the 40 kWh repack, and at least $14,000 for a 62 kWh repack. We quote each job according to actual battery cost and expect to offer more affordable pricing if things ever get back to normal.
